The Science of Sex Appeal

i just finished watching a 2hr long documentary on the discovery channel. I usually dont watch much tv, but this caught my interest. While just the length of the program would shut off many people, i wish it was longer. This was VERY informative and describes the sex appeal and how it is chemically triggered and sometimes unconsciously predetermined (pre picked).

astonishing, both men and women prefer symmetry (meaning face body are even)

A man first looks at a womans face (lol when her face is visible)
Next is the chest area (because thats what feeds the babies)
Then the hips, it is stated that most men prefer wider hips with tapered hips (why, well because this area houses the baby)

BUT WAIT....

an interesting counter...
The Woman look at mens masculine features (face, shoulders chest)
they prefer deep voices, squared jaws and all around masculine traits...
BUT!!!!!!
women are different when they CHOOSE the first timers...
they look at looks
but what they try to establish by questions and questions is....
WEALTH AND SOCIAL STATUS...
women are top dawg hunters...
they want "the man"
(this is not me talking, its scientists from the discovery channel!)

it explains lust and chemicals being released...
dopamine...
a chemical that releases feelings of euphoria, bliss, extacy, and they compared it to cocaine!
WOW!
and when dopamine is released, it is addicting...
so sex....is adDICKting...
it releases feelings of euphoria and relieves pain, depression, increases focus, mental work, and keeps the body young...

it also states that although men are thought to be the unfaithful ones...
women can take the cake on that one...
its just dependant on the time of the month...
when women ovulate (the time they can get prego), they flirt more to attract competition amongst males)
married females may lost certain components that they once had in younger times of the relationship (such as lust and excitement)
they unconsciously, they might find it (but by another suitor)

this series breaks down attraction to practical to scientifical...
great great great show...

learned alot...

oh yea....
a study on guys was conducted...
they were shown pictures of females and they were to rate them...
but then the second round...
they were wearing masks...
and while they began to rate the same girls again...
a replicate of female vaginal secretion was faintly released in the masks....
and the results CHANGED!!!
the girls that were once given a low rating, got a HIGHER rating...
the smell released the male chemical testosterone...
and by that being released, that altered the thinking process of the males....
WOW!!!!
